Statement on Attack on Boulder Run for Their Lives Walk

Boulder Progressives unequivocally condemns the violent attack that occurred on June 1, 2025, targeting a solidarity walk organized by Run for Their Lives on the Pearl Street Mall in Boulder, Colorado. The attack appears to be an act of antisemitic hate to target and injure peaceful demonstrators and is a profound violation of our community's safety and values.

Our thoughts are with the victims and their loved ones, and we wish them a fast and full recovery. We stand in solidarity with all members of our community who have been impacted by this attack, and commit to helping our community heal.

Boulder Progressives reaffirms our commitment to non-violence and condemns antisemitism and all forms of hate. Violence undermines progressive principles of equity, empathy, and cooperation. It is imperative for Boulder to remain committed to nonviolent dialogue in the pursuit of a more just, compassionate, and inclusive society.
